Conceptronic CH3HNAS with Fun_Plug (in 2 flavours: chrooted and without a chrooted environment). A lot of functions are not implemented, will not work or even have bugs. It is highly experimental and only for those who want to play around. It is also not c0mpatible with fun_plug 0.5 as it is causing segmentation faults. But with the GPL sources of the device you can do more with compiling packages for your own

Oibafs: what do you mean? groupname in shell? no idea.
Dennis, what Oibafs means is changing the Windows Group Name which is on the Home tab under Network information. It’s default set to WORKGROUP but indeed there is no option to change it. I had to change the workgroup of all systems in my network to have the Ch3hnas discovered on my network.

Had to change my workgroup also, to match with the CH3HNAS (WORKGROUP) and still looking for a solution…

I’m working on a solution, new firmware expected soon. The issue is that it was somehow removed from the GUI:-(
Hi Dennis,
Found two other bugs in firmware 2.3.27.
1. When you disable the DHCP server and you save this it works fine. If you shutdown the unit and restart it the DHCP server is enabled again.
2. It seems that when the unit is in standby (hdd power management) you cannot reach the unit anymore via the webbrowser (the screen stays white). When searching for the unit in the network the CH3HNAS disappears and can only be found again but shutting down and restarting the unit.
Can you reproduce this?

Ik heb deze NAS aangeschaft en inmiddels ook de funplug ge
ch3hnas kan geen nzbget draaien, daarvoor moet heel veel ‘hack’ werk gedaan worden. Je krijgt een shell met de fun_plug en je kan programma’s draaien, maar je moet dan nog heel veel andere tools laten draaien. dus je moet dan echt wel van wanten weten.

Hmmm… Daar had ik eigenlijk wel op gehoopt bij de aanschaf.

zou wellicht wel kunnen Jeroen, maar daar zal je zelf nog bergen werk voor moeten verzetten, want de fun_plug is niet meer dan je de mogelijkheid bieden tot het uitbreiden van.

ik heb op je website ook nieuwere firmware gezien voor de CH3HNAS (http://www.aroundmyroom.com/2010/05/14/ch3hnas-beta-firmware-2-3-44/)
maar op de conceptronic website staat 2.4.3 van 05 Aug 2010.
momenteel krijg ik wel een telnet sessie aan de gang op de Nas met de 2.4.3 firmware en de fun plug van conceptronic, maar die heeft bepaalde linux commando’s zoals pwconv en usermod niet. zou je mij een paar pointers kunnen geven? ik wil graag de funplug aan de gang krijgen en dan het liefst met de laatste firmware. alvast onwijs bedankt!

Ik kan helaas geen enkele ondersteuning voor de producten van Conceptronic bieden omdat ik geen inside info meer kan delen (heb). Dus dan houd het op voor mij ..

Ik ben erg nieuwsgierig maar heb te weinig kennis om het een en ander te kunnen toepassen.
Kun je nadat je de funplug heb geinstalleerd hem ook gebruiken als webserver (apache) in de vorm van Xampp of iets dergelijks?
