Are non-interleaved movies supported?
Non-Interleaved Movie files are NOT supported. We received a file called: ‘Superhero.Movie.DVDRip.XviD.AC3.iNT-DEViSE.cd2.avi’
The reason is that Sigma Designs (chipset) does not support Non-interleaved movies. Therefore the file is not playable.

Do you wanto to hack into the CFULLHDMA(i)?: the SourceCode is available and complete (compared to many others, which are not GNU/GPL compliant !! More info you can find in the forum
If you have issues and want to share them with me: upload your content to my FTP server. Create a folder and put there the file including a text file with the issue (English language please)

At HDMI1080 photo’s are shown at a maximum size of 500 by 500 pixels, even if the photo itself has a much bigger size. You see a screen with lots of black and a small photo in the middle.

Unfortunately 24P is still not working properly. Every minute or so it will shock as if it has to rebuffer or something…. It’s a pity as it’s soo much smoother than using 50/60hz.

24P totally depends on: does your TV support it nativly (EDID), and if the movie is encoded in such a way 24P is the one to choose ..

Is it possible to have the CFULLHDMA work without network and only an USB harddisk or stick. Every time I try to watch a movie from an HDD it stops the movie after a few minutes and states that it has a server problem (I believe error 104 ). I have tried putting it on a network of a laptop (vista) and then it couldn’t find the usb HDD which was attached to the CFULLHDMA.

If there is no LAN, it will stops the playing of a movie after a few minutes to tell me that it can’t find a server. This of course is very annoying:) So my question is how do stop it from looking for a server?

I think this has nothing to do with lan, but maybe that your HDD get a lost connection and causing this message

Hi there, I mabe found a view bugs (using the newest firmware update 1.09.19.06).
When using a foto slideshow (jpg) it sometimes stops in the middle of a run. The only way to get it starting again is by shutting down the fullhdma. This also appears (sometimes) when using a slideshow with running a audio file at the same time.
when opening DVD files from a Video_TS dir sometimes when using the IFO file there is no sound while playback the movie. When using the VOB files itself it gives the sound but when going from vob file 1 to vob file 2 there is a space inbetween and chapters are not working anymore.
Also the subtitles and audio tracks are often not available when using the Video_TS aproach.
Sometimes the movie playback (using Video_TS) stops in the middle and the only
way to get it starting again is by shutting down the fullhdma.
I also get an error when play back a AVI file created by adobe premiere I don’t no if it is a Non-Interleaved movie file or not but if it is a non interleaved file how can I get it working with the fullhdma?
When after setting the aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3 (the fullhdma gives an confirmation) and the setting is OK. play back of a 4:3 DVD is now ok but after sing a 16:9 dvd the setting is back to 16:9. then byusing a 4:3 dvd (again) the aspect ratio is then not set back to 4:3. what to do with this setting?

The audio/video sync shift feature as described above would be a very useful feature. When you use a projector, there frequently is a sync issue (the audio sounds just earlier then the video), resulting in lip-sync problems.
If the box could support an audio/video sync +/- (ms) feature, it would be wonderful!

Hi, I’ve tested FLAC audio support in version 1.09.32.06. Thanks for implementing it!!! I’m very happy with the implementation, but it will need some more attention, as after playing some FLAC files the player crashes and needs to be restarted. Also between two numbers there is a stuttering sound.
Another problem that occurs with this version is when playing video files. (IFO/VOB or an ISO file). It regularly skips around 5 seconds of the film. To be sure it was a problem in this version (1.09.32.06) I’ve re-installed the previous version (1.09.25.06) of the firmware. That version of the firmware doesn’t show the problem with the same files as used with version 1.09.32.06.

Version 1.09.32.06 is out of beta now, and I found a bug! :)
In DVD’s with menu’s with multiple choices on the same screen (in my case: Audio language and subtitles) it can only select the subtitles. When playing the movie and then try to change the audio language it just freezes.
This happens with Antz! (check usenet, only one still up).
Also what I still miss is the ability to read img style dvd images and the ability to hook up a USB dvd player to it to use it as a full functional replacement of a dvd/home cinema player.

Yesterday I received the mediaplayer did the firmwareupgrade to the latest version, it seems to work correct only one movie from the network stopped at almost the end, then another dvd songs 8 songs goes well then in the middle of a song it seems to hang.
4 times the fullhdmediaserver crashes (version1) is there a newer version.
I tried to connect a USB harddisk to the grab’ngo for testing I put one movie on the hd the usb flash up so the drive seems to get recognized but the movie I could not find the hd I could not see in the list

Problem solved for the movie and the songs PowerDvd made a 7 giga iso file when I extract the files to vob files everything played correct

feature request: ‘Stretch to full screen’
Great work on this player. I am just missing one feature, thats stretch to full screen. The zoom option will zoom within aspect ratio loosing some of the horizontal pixels. I would like to keep the 1980 pixels horizontally but ’stretch’ 688 or simulair values to 1080 so the whole LCD screen is filled.

feature request: \’fixed network paths\’ from the Setup menu.
The SMB browsers works great, too great actually since all shares are showed which is a typical case of where more is less ;-) Having the option to enter a fixed list of shares (and their descriptions) to show would be great.
Having to access the NFS share through iMedia seems goofed. Having the option to enter a couple of fixed NFS shares and descriptions in the setup menu seems best.
I Imagine a setup like this:
“protocol” “server name” “share name” “Description”
protocol either smb or nfs, server name would be the DNS name or IP address, share name the name of the share or the NFS path. Description is anything you like to set as a description.
The description would be presented in the Media Server select screen.

Gisteren heb ik een Freecom netwerk drive gekocht mappen (shared) aangemaakt er zit geloof ik een samba servertje op, als ik de Full HD Mediaplayer opstart wordt er om een username en password gevraagd.
Punt een vind ik dit vreemd want bij de simpleshare ook een Nas wordt dit niet gevraagd.
Punt twee als ik dan een username en password ingeef dan zou het wachtwoord cq username niet correct zijn (tien keer geprobeerd echter zonder resultaat) weet iemand misschien een oplossing.

After a firmware update to 01.09.32.06 (through Internet) my CFULHDMA freezes if I attach a network cable. Effectively it is now useless for me.
I get the start-up splashscreen and the menu, but as soon as the device needs to do anything on/with the network I get a blackscreen and the device freezes. I have a MAC-address that starts with 00:80:5A so I downloaded the firmware, put the right version on a stick. Now it looks like it is reading the bin-file, but it freezes again after the message “Wait 5 sec….”, so it doesn’t really update the firmware. For the same reason I can not go back to a previous version of the firmware, it never gets to the point to update.
Can you please help, because I can not do anything with it anymore.

I have the same problem with my CDFULHDMA I did an update from an usb device without having the CDFULHDMA connected to the network, this should work.
But the black screen problem persists. It worked fine before the upgrade.
I tested my CDFULHDMA on another network and there it works fine so I tested again on my network and I discovered that the CDFULHDMA have this problem when my Sonos media player is connected to the network.
So maybe this problem is solved in a newer firmware version.
I have another problem playing some DVD rips. The movie stops for a few seconds or completely, no matter if the DVD rip played from the network or usb drive. I have a Ziova Clearstream CS505 (this is relay a @#$* device) and he plays this DVD rips well, so I don’t think it’s the DVD rip, but a problem from the CDFULHDMA.
If the CDFULHDMA plays it is a very fine device.

Thanks for your comment that is very interesting, because I also have Sonos devices in my network. I will check out the CFULLHDMA working without Sonos devices in the network. Hope it gets solved soon in a next firmware release, because I want to use the Sonos for music and the CFULLHDMA for Video and Pictures. So they need to exist both in the network.

OK I can also confirm: firmware 01.09.32.06 doesn’t work well if there are also Sonos devices in the network (the firmware release that was on the CFULLHDMA when I bought it yesterday had no problems with Sonos). Just removing the cable from my Sonos Zonebridge and my CFULHDMA worked fine, attaching the cable again gave the blackscreen.

Wat ik wel vervelend vind zijn die overgangen in de film om de 8 minuten (ongeveer) lijkt het net of de film even hangt en dan speelt hij weer verder, hebben daar meer gebruikers last van, of ligt dat aan mijn netwerk 10-100 router gewoon bedraad

Onderstaande heb ik ook zelfs met een gigabit netwerk , vrijwel al mijn dvd’s hebben er last van. Ik speel dvd’s af van ch3snas door ifo te selecteren.

now and then ( almost evry 7 – 8minutes) the films playing DVD are hanging for a second and then playing futher, I even have the impression that it is skipping a couple of seconds

I’m having problems playing audio (mp3). For me the user-interface is very confusing. How do I return to the “now playing” screen? How can I edit the BGM list?
Concerning video it seems that after the last upgrade small parts of the video are skipped every few minutes.

A superb player. Would be nice though if it was possible to configure some kind of zooming-step-ratio , because since firmware 1.09.32.xx the intervals when zooming in or out are just too big for my taste, making it very hard to get the picture matching the approx. boundaries of the screen, if wanted.

Hi people,
Just wondering if my CFULLHDMA is good to go to the repairshop. Since yesterday it won’t play any movies, no matter what type. They all are bounced (after trying to load for some 30 seconds) with the message that the movie type is not supported. Can I perhaps downgrade the firmware from the latest (1.09.32.06) to the second-to-last version? And then re-apply the latest firmware? The network part is working because I can search thru all my movie files. I just want to inspect all options before I sent it off for repair. I have this CFULLHDMA for only 2 months now…
Also, for some reason certain changes in the configuration are not applied. For example, the network LED won’t blink anymore although it is switched on.
Anyway, I did find that the CFULLHDMA was always getting very warm (if not hot). Usually, this is a sign of hardware not fully optimized for the job (mostly the case with the ‘cheaper’ hardware products). Airflow is always a issue, and I fear that something has gone wrong due to the high temps in this apparatus.
Any comments from you people will be highly appreciated.

UPDATE:
Apparently, the Conceptronic Media Server software still is pretty buggy. Restarting the mediaserver did the trick for now. It seems it has a memory leak somehow which causes its operations to malfunction (showing VC++ error messages..).
I think I’m gonna use a 2,5″ inch drive connected to the CFULLHDMA. It will be much more responsive and it avoids using the buggy server software. ;-)

I don’t think so, mtv. There is no entry in the list of services mentioning the CFULLHDMA or Conceptronic software. And I haven’t found any parameters with the server software making the service entry possible. Make a request at Conceptronic, who knows, you might get lucky.

As flac-playback is not yet bug free (it stops after a certain number of songs/seconds) transcoding the file to the raw/wav format will help out. First you have to install flac
>sudo apt-get install flac
then enter the following sections into your config.xml

Het zoals jullie het beschrijven als hikken van een DvD, is een bug in de firmware.
Als je versie 1.09.32.xx in bios hebt zitten, kan je de versie 1.09.25.06 of de nieuwste Beta versie erin zetten, dan is dat probleem niet aanwezig.

I wanted to add to the motion for including +/- for syncing bad audio to video but it seems this is not possible. Any other work around for avi files that have audio out of sync? I have tried Virtualdub and the problem only got worse. These files play fine on the PC or Xbox.

if you have bad video/audio you cannot pinpoint to the cfullhdma not be able to fix that
it’s hardware technically not possible, the SigmaDesigns chipset does not support that feature through their SDK .. Sorry .. do’n blame the CFULLHDMA

Yes I understood from previous posts that it was an SDK thing. I am just wondering why it is that pretty much all chipsets from standalone players (not only Sigmadesigns) have the same problem with specific type of file encodes (qpel naming another). And if these types of encodes exist why some company doesnt come out with a killer chip to be able to handle them. And what is it in a xbox chipset that has always been able to play whatever encoding. FDDshow can also work with any file I throw at it. Or is it just not interesting or worthwhile for chipset manufactureres to add this extra capability of working with exotic encodes. I’m asking this all out of interest as I’ve spent money on 3 streamers and it seems I should have just bought a used xbox they way it looks now. Not blaming anyone or any chip :)

I’ve the cfullhdma since a few days. The reasons for me to buy the cfullhdma are features like subtitle (*.srt) support, switching between different language tracks and the support for many file types. The first thing I did was an firmware upgrade.
But with the public firmware I’ve some big problems playing DivX/XviD files. After I used the fast forward, rewind or when I jumped to a timstamp the picture and the sound are not synchon. When I push the play button after fast forward, the movie begins immediately and the sound starts after a few seconds, but at the position where the movie started.
Another problem is when I changed the language or the subtitle. Then the movie jumps most to a timestamp at the beginning from the movie and picture and sound are not synchron after that.
When I start the movie and let it play from the begining to the end all works fine.
Any idea?

Zojuist de nieuwste publieke versie via Internet geïnstalleerd (1.09.41). Bij deze versie moet nu steeds het gelijknamige .SRT-ondertitelbestand handmatig geselecteerd worden als SUB01, terwijl in de vorige publieke firmware ( 1.09.32) deze als SUB00 meteen automatisch actief was. Nu wordt default geen ondertitelbestand gevonden, en wordt dus ook geen ondertiteling getoond.
Bovendien lijkt de doorvoer van grotere MKV’s naar de CFULLHDMA wat moeizamer te gaan. Ik krijg nu vaker hickups omdat de buffer leeg zou zijn. En dat met een gigabit-verbinding. Ik zal nog eens wat andere films hierop testen.
Kan helaas zelf geen entries in de bug-database stoppen, dus bij deze mijn bloopervermelding.
PS: krijg nu pas de registratiebevestiging voor de bugtracker binnen, zal de bug in de database plaatsen.

@Klojum: wat je meldt is geen bug, maar een functionaliteit.
daarnaast is de internet upgrade die beschikbaar is versie 1.09.44.06 en niet 1.09.41.06
standaard worden GEEN subtitles getoond (mode 0) wanneer je subtitles wilt hebben zal je deze moeten selecteren. De meerderheid van de mensen wilden deze feature graag hebben.
Ivm een nieuwe functionaliteit (Pre-Buffering) zijn er een aantal nieuwe bugs geintroduceerd oa. hickups die nu opgelost worden.

Okay, een feature dan :-) (en het is idd v1.09.44).
Dan nog snap ik niet helemaal waarom de default setting OFF is. Iemand met een CFULLHDMA in een land waar engels NIET de voertaal is (ik gok dat de meest bekeken films engels gesproken zijn), zou graag verwachten dat subtitels standaard liever wel aanstaan. Wellicht is dit in het ‘Advanced menu’ als optie bij te bouwen? Mensen zetten subtitel-bestanden niet voor niks bij hun films. Als ze er zijn, gebruik ze dan ook meteen. De kijkers die toch geen subtitels willen zien, kunnen ze dan alsnog uitzetten.
Ik zou gaan voor deze volgorde:
- Laadt de gekozen film
- Controleer op aanwezigheid van subtitle-bestand met identieke naam
- Zoja:
Controleer firmware setting m.b.t. subtitels
Subtitels wel tonen:
activeer de naam-identieke SRT-file als SUB01
Subtitels niet tonen:
– Ga naar SUB00, en laat kijker eventuele andere aanwezige subtitelbestanden zelf handmatig kiezen.
- Zoniet, ga naar SUB00, en laat kijker eventuele andere aanwezige subtitelbestanden zelf handmatig kiezen.
Lijkt me toch logisch zo, uit de mond van een luie tester/gebruiker/kijker.
Correct me if I’m wrong.
PS: Kan de omvang van de WP Ajax Edit-box vergroot worden naar meer dan 6 regels? Het lijkt een beetje op priegelen in een brievenbus nu ;-)

Ik zou graag een betere ondersteuning willen voor externe 2,5 harde schijven zonder stroom. Kan er geen betere stroomvoorziening naar de USB port worden gezonden?

Ik heb met meerdere 2,5″ behuizingen gewerkt, en het lijkt erop alsop de ene behuizing/harddisk combinatie meer stroom vreet dan de andere. Met als gevolg dat de ene 2,5″ harddisk blijft staan hoesten als een astmapatient, terwijl de andere gewoon in 1x werkt.
Ik betwijfel of de sterkte v/d stroomtoevoer via de firmware aangepast kan worden, anders wordt het wellicht wachten op versie 2.0 van de CFULLHDMA.

Het is correct wat Koos schrijft. e.e.a. valt en staat met de gebruikte HDD, maar ook de PCBA (componenten zoals condensatoren) van de 2.5″ apparaat.
zover ik weet voldoet onze USB port aan de specificaties die ervoor gelden en kunnen we dus niet garanderen dat bepaalde 2.5″ HDD’s gaan werken. Merk A wellicht wel, merk B niet, maar misschien merk A met HDD merk C weer niet ..

There is an ON/OFF switch at the back of the CFULLHDMA.
If there is a serious crash, just unplug the powerplug from the CFULLHDMA, wait 10 seconds, then re-insert the power cableplug and power on the CFULLHDMA via RC or powerbutton (if necessary).

1.Only by playing DVD files. The movie stopped everytime at same time.
The time goes around. Then goes the movie in fast vorward modus. The movie is”Meet the Robinsons”
2. I have a private home DVD with menue.If play the video from menue than stopped the Movie after 20 sec. or stutters.If i playing this Movies than goes all other DVD bad.
Than i must restart the Full media player.Playing the VOB file than is OK.
3. I have a private home DVD with menue.I can’t confirm with OK, it goes to break.
How i can send a file to you?It’s very big. 3 DVD’s

sinds enkele dagen eigenaar, ben er blij mee. 1 ding snap ik niet of doe ik fout? Ik heb op mijn server een map met allemaal films aangelegd, elke film eigen mapje, echter in het overzicht via de streamer komen alle films in 1 grote lijst? Zo kan ik niet zien welk bestand welke film is? Doe ik iets fout, of is dit een bekende issue? alvast dank voor enige reactie en keep up the good work Dennis..

Als je “All movies” selecteert krijg je inderdaad alle films van alle mappen (die de conceptronic media server bij elkaar vindt) in 1 grote lijst voor je kiezen. Kennelijk gaat Conceptronic ervan uit dat je nooit zoveel films bij elkaar hebt. BTW, een aangesloten USB-disk is stukken sneller met inlezen dan via het netwerk. Ook reageert de boel sneller bij het terug/doorspoelen etc.
Als je voor “My Folders” kiest, dan ga je via je eigen directorystructuur door je bestanden heen.

Elke film heeft toch z’n eigen (bestands)naam?!? Of heb jij alle films een nummer gegeven? :-)

with the new Firmwear 1.09.53 I always have problems with the playback of DVD files. She stutter after ten to twenty minutes, they must then stop it.After playing, everything is Ok.After ten minutes the same .Is the problem known? When DVD movies can finally enjoy without any problems?

Hi All,
I have problems founding any pc’s in my network. It works for a few days, but suddenly it didnt work anymore. The shares are still there, (and public etc) but my Grab ‘n go didnt see any pc’s anymore. i rebooted everything.. still not there. I did the update to the public version to fix this.. no go..
Ow btw.. the link lights arent working at the network. Tried another cable, another router, still no go..
The media from internet works fine (streaming etc..)
Anyone has an idea ore tips ?

Hoi allemaal,
Ik heb sinds kort ook een grab n go Full machine.. Echter heeft ie maar een paar keer gewerkt. en nu vind hij geen pc’s meer die wel shares hebben openstaan (gecontroleerd met een laptop) Het heeft wel gewerkt maar lijkt nu niets meer te doen.
Iemand tips?
(ik heb zowel een vista pc en een XP machine aan staan) shares staan open, pc’s staan aan, ip configutatie klopt (beide geprobeerd via dhcp en handmatig) zelfde subnet, etc
Waar gaat dit fout?

Router is gereset, (al vele keren en ook een andere router geplaatst, (dus ook deze dhcp server) En die meegeleverde software HD Media server 1.04.45 gebruik ik niet, want die hoefde ik niet te gebruiken want hij deed het zonder deze. Of moet dit toch draaien? Is een share niet voldoende ?

Berrie, het gaat erom dat je je probleem oplost en daar heb je verschillende manieren voor. Pas nadat je probleem opgelost is kan er een conclusie getrokken worden wat het probleem kan zijn.

Zo.. Dat klinkt nogal ‘Back to the future’. Kortom: je gaat alle onderdelen van je auto vervangen om er achteraf achter te komen dat het controlelampje op je dashboard kapot was. :-)
Ik denk niet dat Berrie’s probleem de router cq dhcp is. Zelf draaide ik tot eergisteren de HD Media Server probleemloos op de ene computer in mijn netwerk. Met een andere servercomputer verdwijnt deze server nu na ±20-30 seconden van de serverlijst op de CFULLHDMA (de gemaakte PC-share blijft wel vermeld staan). Dit gebeurt met de nieuwste serverversie alsook met de oude v1.04.45. En dat alles terwijl de settings van beide PC’s, vwb netwerk, identiek zijn.
Als ik achter de dader hiervan kom, dan plaats ik hem wel op de buglijst.

@Klojum, het gaat er mij om dat alle mogelijke ‘oorzaken’ of redenen uitgesloten kunnen worden.
Kijk als hij de meegeleverde software niet gebruikt zeg ik: gebruik hem eens om te zien of het probleem dan ook optreedt (je mag ook ORB, TVERSITY, of wel ander UPnP AV server tootlje gebruiken
er is namelijk een groot verschil tussen SAMBA / NFS en UPNP-AV, dus mocht ik een verkeerde indruk gewekt hebben dan was ik wellicht nog onder de indruk van mijn e-mail verlies..

Hehe… nou dennis je toverde wel een glimlach om mijn neus met je opmerking..
uiteraard heb ik die server versie ook geprobeerd, maar met of zonder.. beide geen resultaat. Ik krijg meer het vermoeden dat er ergens iets niet goed zit met de netwerk aansluiting (alhoewel de media streams van internet wel goed lopen) echter verbaasd het me dat er dan geen link lampjes branden (de oranje noch de groene)
wat mij wel opviel, ik koppelde een externe hdd er even bij aan, en toen zag hij gedurende 10 seconde mijn shares wel, ook die van die server tool die bijgeleverd was. Echter als ik die dan aanklikte.. poef.. weg was ie..
Dus het werkt nog steeds niet zeg maar.. Ik kan hem in ieder geval nog niet gebruiken als daar waar hij voor bedoelt is, krijg bijna ruzie met mijn vrouw dat ik nog steeds boven films moet kijken op een bureau stoeltje ipv de lekkere luie stoel die in de woonkamer staat ;-)

in ieder geval is het niet goed dat zowel GEEN UPnP shares gezien worden (probeer ORB en/of TVersity eens) als geen Samba Shares ..
soms kan het enige minuten duren ..
heb je 1.09.54.06 al?
Wellicht dat deze op IP gebied beter werkt, want er zit wel een work-around in

Werkt je netwerk wel netjes, dus kan je vanaf andere machines wel de shares zien?
Probeer ook eens of je de cfullhdma wel goed kan bereiken vanaf je pc, kan bijvoorbeeld aan een te agressieve firewall liggen (McAfee HIPS of Norton bv staan bekend om moeilijk doen). CHeck of je vanaf je PC de web interface van de cfullhdma kan benaderen, en probeer bijvoorbeeld je firewall eens helemaal uit te schakelen. Kan je de cfullhdma uberhaupt pingen is iets wat goed is om te weten.
Update je cfullhdmaa iig naar de laatste versie en probeer het eens geheel zonder virusscanners en firewalls aan. Dit kan een probleem veroorzaken (updates van McAfee bv willen weleens bugjes vertonen, ook een MS Windhoos update kan een bepaalde feature/bug met zich meebrengen).
En last but not least: Zet Simple File Sharing uiy als je Vista draait.

Won’t decode DTS ? But uses HDMI to Pasthrough ? / STD Coax non optical cable to DTS decoder ?
The one thing is what sort of tag editor is there ? With the eva we could organise the library etc ??

Ik begin lol te krijgen aan mijn CFULLHDMA. Veel van de dingen die hier zijn benoemd had ik ook. Ik kon maar geen Full HD movies aan de praat krijgen (ze stopten na een paar minuten of verloren geluid). Ik had op een gegeven moment mijn laptop bijna in de CFULLHDMA gestopt maar geen succes. En nu heb ik het aan de praat. Daarvoor heb ik een UPnP server software van het internet gedownload op de site http://fuppes.ulrich-voelkel.de/. Het is freeware en werkt als een tierelier. Ik heb wireless (!!!) een Full HD WMV film bekeken (dus zeker niet de optimale opstelling). Daarbij heb ik gewoon gebruik gemaakt van een Netgear 54 Mbit router en een HP NX9420 laptop met Windows Vista Home Edition. Een aanrader!. Mijn FLAC bestanden worden nu ook afgespeeld. Daarvoor heb ik wel een lame decoder moeten downloaden (gratis) en moeten toevoegen aan de Fuppes uPnP software. Maar mijn Moody Blues spelen nu over mijn stereo installatie over de CFULLHDMA.

Try Fuppes as uPnP software, eats almost no resources from your PC/laptop has a very good throughput on your network and plays almost perfect. I have watch Full HD Fifth Elementh as WMV format and it was just great, only let your virus scanner have a break during playback.

Stefan, your device is not defective, but you have to understand that #41 in the trac database has many feedback of users. It can depend on what movie you watch, so provide me that movie, than we can talk about trying to reproduce and than trying to solve if it is an issue.
Cause users report that no issue is found at their side, but some movies show some trouble.. but without such movie it’s impossible to fix things and add it in the firmware.

Het zal wel aan mij liggen maar ik krijg op geen enkele manier digitaal AC3 / Dolby Digital geluid uit dit apparaat. Zelfs complete ISO rip van een originele DVD geeft slechts stereo geluid door. Zowel via de HDMI als de SPDIF uitgang geen meerkanaalsgeluid.
Wat doe ik fout?

My CFULLHDMA (fw 01.09.53.06) don’t play .avi- and .mov-files. Message: Fout(301): bestand wordt niet ondersteund. An other problem: after selecting a YouTube-item my HD MediaServer will go down. Message from Microft Windows: Conceptronic Digital Media Server werkt niet meer………

Ook met de laatste beta krijg ik nog geen samba share van mijn vista64 pc. Maar zodra ik op hetzelfde netwerk een XP pc aanzet, dan krijg ik de samba share van de XP pc te zien EN die van de vista64 pc. Toch is het vervelend dat ik niet direct een samba share krijg van de vista64 pc. Heeft iemand een idee????

Laat ik beginnen met te zeggen dat ik het een geweldig apparaat voor weinig geld vind. Ik heb hem nu een paar dagen en hij kan meer dan alle media spelers die ik hiervoor heb gehad. Toch heb ik een paar vragen/ problemen en requests
Ik was van plan om twonky te gebruiken omdat deze aanwezig is op mijn qnap nas 209II pro. De andere media players in huis (Philips, xbox360, PS3) maken daar ook gebruik van. Ik de praktijk loop ik tegen wat ongemakkelijke problemen aan die vooral met twonky te maken hebben. Maar al mijn films/foto’s staan op de Qnap. Omdat ik ook een server heb om mijn domotica systeem te besturen, die dus altijd aanstaat, heb ik daar de conceptronic media server op geinstalleerd en verwijsik(via een share) vanaf daar naar de films op het nas. Dat lost iig een aantal problemen van twonky op. De media server is alleen al 2 keer gecrashed. Zie foutmelding hieronder:

Wat ik vervelender vind is het feit dat ik problemen heb met HD films. Ik heb er tot nu toe 2 gedownload(Rambo en Cloverfield) en beide hebben problemen met het streamen en beginnen te ‘hikken’ Als ik het vanaf de twonky server doe gaat het bijna direct fout en is er gewoon niet naar te kijken, via de media server gaat het stukken beter, maar elke minuut staat het beeld wel even stil. Omdat ik de CFULLHDMA met name voor HD content op mijn Full HD tv heb gekocht is dit wel een afknapper. ‘gewone’ content (divx, DVD’s, AVI, WMV etc…) werken zonder problemen, maar de matroska .mkv files zijn onbruikbaar. Het kan zijn dat ik net 2 ’slechte’ files heb gedownload. Ik zal daarom nog wat meer files gaan downloaden, maar er is niet zoveel te vinden wat een beetje snel te downloaden is.
Nog 1 reqeust; Het zou fijn zijn als er een default media server kan worden ingesteld, zodat je snel bij je content bent en dan kan m’n dochter van 7 er ook makkelijker mee overweg.
Ohja ik heb deze problemen zowel met de oude als de firmware van 7 november (v01.11.04.06.21) sterker nog, ik heb het idee (zeker via de twonky server) dat het streamen van HD content slechter is geworden met de nieuwe FW. Verder is mijn LAN verbinding 1Gb. De media server ise 1.05.03, ik weet niet of hier ook beta’s van zijn ??

Op mijn MediaServer staan ongeveer 18.000 bestanden. Als ik hier een paar bestanden aan toevoeg dan moet ik Service stoppen en op Vernieuwen klikken om de toegevoegde bestanden zichtbaar te krijgen op mijn MediaPlayer. Het vervelende is dat het scan-proces ongeveer 1 uur in beslag neemt en al die tijd moet ik wachten voordat de Service weer gestart kan worden. Is er een snellere methode?

HD films lijken nu wel te werken, ik heb andere HD films gedownload en die doen het wel goed.
Wel heb ik met de nieuwe firmware een nieuw probleem:
Heel vaak (meestal bij het aanzetten nadat de cfullhdma een tijd heeft uitgestaan) kan hij geen servers vinden. Na 10 minuten wachten nog niks….. Als ik de cfullhdma dan uit/aan zet gaat het goed. Ik heb dit met de ‘officielle’ firmware nooit gezien, alhoewel ik die maar een paar dagen heb gebruikt.
De DMS software blijft regelmatig problemen geven, heel lastig. Wanneer komt hier een nieuwe versie van ??
Wat ik ook jammer vind, is het feit dat de letters in de cfullhdma interface heel erg kartelig zijn. Zeker op een Full HD scherm ziet dit er echt niet uit. Dit moet, en kan, echt beter…

Er is een groot forum op tweakers.net, mpcclub heeft wat minder reacties en info .. maar ga je gang .. ik hou niemand tegen iets te schrijven ;-)
de font’s en de menustructuur moet rekening houden met normale TV’s en maakt itt wat velen denken geen gebruik van de Sigma Designs chip. (bij het opstarten van het apparaat en wat het menu op het scherm laat zien)

Ik heb inmiddels ook andere Media servers geprobeerd (Nero Mediahome, TVersity en Twonkey) maar deze geven niet zo’n goed resultaat als FUPPES (freeware). Wel heb ik een probleem met MKV films, omdat ik het gevoel heb dat de Haali Video Splitter software het niet kan bijbenen. Maar WMV formaat fullhd ging prima, maar dan is het geluid en de ondertiteling weer niet zo als een echte audiofiel dat wil hebben. Maar ik heb desondanks genoten van Iron Man FullHD.

Ik heb een paar opmerkingen gezien over mensen die een 2.5 inch harddisk hebben aangeschaft (of dit willen) maar ik heb ervaring met een 2.5 en met een 5. inch (normale externe usb op stroom) en ik kan zeggen dat het nogal wat uitmaakt in performance. Dus bij aanschaf is het niet onbelangrijk te kijken wat de snelheid van de schijf is. Mijn films spelen beter op een 5. inch harde schijf dan op een kleine (4K versus 7K rotaties, 10K zal nog wel beter zijn)

Nou sorry hoor, maar een 10K schijf nemen om films af te spelen is in mijn ogen flinke overkill. Een 2.5″ schijf van 4200tpm kan alles goed genoeg bijbenen, want elke aangesloten USB-schijf reageert sneller dan de netwerk-access.
Schijven van 7200 of zelfs 10.000 tpm bieden geen meerwaarde in deze, en produceren bovendien ook nog warmte/hitte die de meeste externe harddiskbehuizingen niet eens kwijt kunnen, want er is geen actieve koeling.
Het enige voordeel van de 3.5″ schijven t.o.v. de 2.5″ schijven is dat ze een grotere schijfomvang hebben: 1,500 Gig t.o.v. 500 Gig momenteel.

Ik heb de CFULLHDMA gisteren bij een collega aangesloten, deze heeft een 2,5″ Externe HDD eraan hangen van 1000GB.
We hebben op de HD wat films gezet, zowel DVD5 films als een Full HD film.
Ik dacht dat de films in een soort van DVD omgeving gespeeld zouden worden, nu moet nog de film handmatig opgestart worden vanuit de Video_TS map. Of doen we nu iets verkeerd?

Op dit moment heb ik een 2TB externe HDD via USB aan de CFULLHDMA aangesloten.
Probleem is dat ik als ik een film gezien heb deze van de HDD wil verwijderen. Een nieuwe film wil ik er naartoe copieren/verplaatsen. Hiertoe moet ik telkens de HDD loskoppelen en weer aansluiten op m’n PC.
Is het mogelijk om de HDD (aangesloten op de CFULLHDMA) te sharen vanuit de CFULLHDMA? Ik kan dan via m’n netwerk de gewenste wijzigingen (verwijderen/toevoegen) vanaf m’n PC uitvoeren.

de Eminent speler is een ‘Syabas’ NMT kloon .. ze maken dus gebruik van de middleware van Syabas . .
Ik ben niet geheel opjectief, maar we kunnen misschien wel meer dan dat apparaat. Maar dikke natte vinger: ik heb dat apparaat niet kunnen testen. Dus ik zou nog wat meer informatie opvragen

Hallo Dennis, is er een oplossing om URL’s van Uitzendinggemist af te spelen? Onderstaande URL wordt niet ondersteund: Fout 301.

Dennis, nog even terugkomend op mijn vorige opmerking: de URL van Uitzendinggemist was geplaatst onder de tab INTERNET MEDIA van de DMS. De URL werd daar toegevoegd aan de reeds gedefinieerde YouTube-URL’s. En zoals ik al meldde krijg ik de melding “wordt niet ondersteund”. Overigens het afspelen van een YouTube-URL zorgt ervoor dat de DMS onderuitgaat (een screenshot van de melding stuur ik je apart toe) en de CFULLHDMA blijft ‘hangen’. Zelfs Power-off via de afstandbediening werkt dan niet meer, dus de stekker eruit en erin.
Firmware CFULLHDMA: 01.09.55.66 en Versie DMS: 1.05.03 en deze draait op een CH3SNAS1T.

Net mijn cfullhdma binnen, super apparaat :) 1 request, voorheen heb ik veel video gekeken met xbmc op een xbox. xbmc kan rars on-the-fly uitpakken en afspelen. Het zou super zijn als de cfullhdma dit ook zou kunnen :-)

Sinds kort een CFULLHDMA speler, speelt alles perfect af, DVD, HD en MPEG maar alleen van een 1 TB USB schijf. Het netwerk wordt niet gevonden.
(KPN experiabox=Gigaset SX551 van siemens als router en twee PC\’s met XP-Pro en een aantal gedeelde mappen, 1 WIFI en 1 bekabeld).
Update firmware 1.09.55 en 1.12.04 geprobeerd zonder resultaat.
Ook vast IP adres geprobeert, zonder resultaat.
Hoe nu verder??? Heeft iemand nog suggesties?
NB. Nog een tweede vraag: bij het uitzetten van de speler blijft de USB schijf doordraaien, is er een mogelijkheid om automatisch de USB schijf te stoppen en starten met de speler?

Ik heb het zelfde probleem met youtube streams dat de DMS onderuit gaat en ook de speler een harde reset nodig heeft.
Heb de laatste beta firmware + de laatste DMS geinstalleerd.
Heb de DMS getest op een windows 2008 server en op een windows xp systeem.
Op beide systemen de zelfde fout.
Streaming url direct via de web interface plaatsen op de CFULLHDMA werkt wel.

Enkele dagen in bezit en stuit op de volgende problemen:
Kan servers soms niet vinden moet apparaat uitzetten daarna doet ie het wel. Met usb hd ziet ie soms niks of niet alle mappen weer uitzetten! Als je zoomt kan je het zoom icoontje niet uit je beeld krijgen. Druk je op ok dan gaart de zoom terug naar de begininstelling (wat je niet wilt anders hoef je niet te zoomen!) Tijdens film kijken loopt apparaat soms vast,(film van hd met eigen stroom).
Heb de laarste firmware maar problemen blijven. Deze problemen zijn toch behoorlijk irritant zeker midden in een film de boel uitzetten en dan pas weer verder kijken. Dit zijn standaard zaken die niet zouden mogen bij een nieuw apparaat. Wordt dit snel opgelost?

Het zoomen werkt nu wel! sterker nog je kan de bekende zwarte balken mooi wegzoomen zonder dat het beeld vervormd. Uitvallen heb ik geen last meer van. Las ergens dat de stroomconnectie aan de conceptronic welleens problemen geeft?
De avi filmpjes die ik met mijn canon ixus 40 film speelt hij helaas niet af. Iemand een suggestie hoe ik deze het beste omzet naar een leesbaar formaat?

Hi,
Great piece of equipment, and so far the only one to my knowledge with such a nice and complete set of features!
However, yesterday it crashed after watching a HD (720p) movie for 3 hours straight (an .mkv, streamed over my local network from a samba share). The device was incredibly hot (I could not put my hands on it). I’m wondering, is my device faulty? (it’s standing freely, horizontally, with enough free space around it). I noticed that when playing a normal .avi (non-hd) the device gets really hot as well, but I can still put my hand on it.
It is too late for me to get a replacement at the store, so I would have to go through the RMI with Conceptronic. Any feedback would be very much appreciated.

Ik zal me even voorstellen ik ben Mars en ik heb sinds een paar weken een cfullhdma,op zich ben ik er wel tevreden over alleen zit ik toch met wat problemen
Ik hoop dat iemand mij daarbij kan helpen.
1:Bij het afspelen van video bestanden heb ik altijd gedonder met de subs !dan zijn ze blauw dan weer rood en soms ook nog wit!!!hoe los ik dit op?als ik de zelfde film via mijn server op de pc kijk is het wel goed!!
soms op pc wel subs en op de cfullhdma niet!!!
2:laad tijden tussen de verschillende video bestanden is dit normaal?
3:Kan je ook de menu’s van de dvd gebruiken zoals op een normale dvd?
Ik heb de allerlaatste firmware 13….. dus daar ligt het niet aan.
Ik gebruik nog een normale tv Plasma is onderweg maakt dit wat uit?

Hallo Dennis,
ik heb een tweetal vraagjes m.b.t. het afspelen van FLAC nummers.
Als ik twee opeenvolgende nummers heb waartussen geen pauze zit omdat de muziek in elkaar overloopt zit er toch een pause van enkele seconden tussen. Kan deze pauze uitgezet worden?
De tweede vraag heeft betrekking op een soort van sample die na een nummer wordt weergeven door de FULLHDMA als een nummer plotseling eindigt (geen fade-out). Deze sample is een stukje uit het einde van het nummer.
Als een nummer eindigt met een fade-out dan is er geen \”sample\”. Waarschijnlijk wordt de sample wel weergegeven, maar is deze niet hoorbaar omdat het nummer dan al volledig \”stil\” is.
Zijn bovenstaande verschijnselen op te lossen in een nieuwe versie van de firmware?

1.13.02.06/09 heeft nog steeds aspectratio problemrn voor dvd’s op 4:3 tv’s. Omdat het één van de eerste betaalbare hd players was heb ik die bugs een tijd voor lief genomen met de belofte dat dit wel gerepareerd zal worden. Nu komen er steeds meer vergelijkbare producten die veel minder crapy firmware hebben (om van de serversoftware maar te zwijgen, die kan echt direct de vuilnisbak in) begin ik me af te vragen hoeveel uren conceptronics vrij maakt om die waslijst aan mankementen op te ruimen want dit schiet zo niet op. Als het niet op korte termijn wordt opgelost weet ik welk merk ik in de toekomst moet vermijden en zal niet schromen om die mening te delen, rebranden helpt niet ik ken 2l zo onderhand wel.

Probeer eerst eens de laatste firmware 1.15.01. Bovendien weet ik uit ervaring dat het gras aan de overkant niet groener is. Er zitten daar ook addertjes en ander ongedierte (lees: bugs).
Ik heb trouwens ook een 4:3 TV en ik ken de problemen die jij schets m.b.t. aspectratio niet. Alles heeft de juiste vorm. Weet je zeker dat je bron wel goed is. Ik heb in het verleden ook wel eens DVD gedownload waarvan de IFO file niet klopte en zodoende de aspect ratio niet klopte.
De problemen die ik aangekaart had m.b.t. het weergeven van FLAC zijn in versie 1.15.01 opgelost.

max mag kritiek hebben. Als Max mijn website had gelezen dan had ie kunnen zien dat we inmiddels de aspectratio informatie uit de films kunnen extracten. Dit is dan de opzet naar de implementatie om de juiste aspect via HDMI aan te bieden.
helaas vind ik continue bugs die ik moet zien op te lossen en dat zorgt ervoor dat nieuwe dingen wat later uitgevoerd worden. Zo zou een nieuwe SDK van sigma vele issues moeten oplossen. Doet het ook, maar genereert weer nieuwe problemen. Zo was en is beta 1.14.04 een waardelose beta firmware met vele bugs op sound niveau: door de SDK van Sigma geinitieerd. Dat moet dan eerst opgelost worden.
Kijk .. als jou probleem alleen maar ligt op aspect ratio zeg ik: kijk eens naar je TV .. Ik kan op al mijn TV’s de aspects aanpassen zodat een 16:9 gewoon full screen erin hangt. Oh … en dan kan ik zelfs nog wat in en uitzoomen met de CFULLHDMA.
Dus ja: het gaat traag, maar we werken gestaag door. En je mag van mij de server software crappy vinden: er zijn alternatieven en de broncode is vrijgegeven.

Gebruik TwonkyMedia 5 Manager (gekochte nieuwe versie) op Windows XP en op mijn Conceptronic C3SNAS
Sinds de laatste update heb ik problemen met de ID3 tags. Bij MP3 worden de tags NIET uitgelezen, bij WMA bestanden wél.
Heb wel gelijktijdig de Twonky geupdate, dus weet niet aan welke kant het zit.

Heb de CFULLHDMAi gekocht en is een mooi apparaat dat bijna alles afspeelt.
Toch nog een verzoek, ik heb EAC Images van CD’s. Dit is een WAV file met een CUE file erbij. Zou mooi zijn als die de CUE kan openen en dan alle nummers van de CD ziet, nu ziet de WAV file als 1 grote audio track..
Voorderest niets dan lof :)

Hi, I had a problem, connectting the CFullHDMA to a Windows 2000 share. Nothing helped till I used a username with a password to connect. Usernames without passwords, Guest account, etc, seem not to work. Just thought to leave it here so if anybody has the same problem can know about my experience.
Well, now that I’m posting, I also have a feature request (yes, too lazy to program it myself, I know :o) I’d like to have a way of selecting default subtitles for mkv films. In my case, I have always to shut subtitles off at the start of every film, and is a bit of a nag, specially in these films that start slow, and they don’t speak till some minutes inside the film, and you have to get out of concentration, and get the remote, etc. I know that can be done for DVDs, I have a DVD that allows me to select the default language and subtitles, so I guess that can be done for mkv’s too.
Well, anyway, I’m just two days owner of the thing, and very much pleased with it. The way it gets the network shares and connect to them is much better and faster than my brother’s DVICO player, a rather more expensive machine. The image quality is the same, as far as I can tell. Keep up the good work!

Het gaat om legale content die in een speler van 3 tientjes van de blokker wel correct wordt weergegeven. Dat jij geen problemen ondervindt met dvd’s op 4:3 lijkt mij tenzij er spelers met verschillende chipset’s in omloop zijn of je een tv hebt die de foute output corrigeert erg onwaarschijnlijk.

Het is niet jullie probleem omdat mijn 4:3 tv die ik voor de kinderen op zolder heb staan niet het onjuiste aspectratio corrigeert? Interessante logica hanteer je daar.
Ik gebruik inderdaad een ander mediaserver die jullie meeleveren is te treurig voor woorden. Dat de broncode vrij is is altijd goed maar als ik een paar honderd euro neerleg voor een speler verwacht ik gewoon dat die werkt en niet dat ik wekenlang de code moet repareren. Het oplossen van problemen doen jullie veel te traag, dat aspectratio gedoe bestaat al meer dan een half jaar en had opgelost moeten zijn. Ik krijg de indruk dat jij de enige bent die daar aan werkt en dat maakt het onmogelijk dat je ooit alle bugs er uit krijgt voordat het apparaat niet meer ondersteund wordt. Dat maakt deze speler een miskoop, mijn nieuwe nas is daarom ook geen conceptronics geworden. Tenzij de ondersteuning verbeterd zal ik de producten van 2l blijven mijden.

Hello all,
My cfullhdma don´t find the upgrade.bin on my usb stick. It sticks at the search for the firmware and nothing else happens. The Firmware is the only file on the stick, i proper disconnected it from windows and the stick itself is working.
any ideas ? many thanx! :)

on 31-08-2008 we Ron and Ronald wrote about a problem with the cfullhdma and a Sonos in the same network.
Can you tell me if there is some progress resolving this issue, to see a film I have to disconnect all sonos devices from the network thirst.

I had the same thing. I found out it happends when:
1. the stick is formatted NTFS and
2. there are lots and lots of files on the stick (even in subdirs)
When my stick was formated FAT32, this wasn’t a problem.
I solved it by removing most of the files…

hallo
probleem met de CFHi is begonnen nadat ik vond dat “servers zoeken” traag ging. Heb een asus gbit netwerkkaart er extra in zitten. Firewall staat nu uit maar maakt niet veel uit. Als ik de asus gbs kaart softwarematig verwijder en opnieuw installeer ziet hij meestal wel weer mijn cfh….. eenmalig. Als ik de CFH uitzet en weer aanzet krijgt hij mijn computer niet meer gevonden. Het icoontje v.h. netwerk veranderd dan ook naar 100 mbs ipv 1gbs.
Wat doe ik fout?
als ik met een vast IP adres werk, zal hij dan altijd snel werken? Hoe en met welke waardes ( IP DNS enz. ) moet ik dan werken?
ben een beetje radeloos geworden want zo kan ik niks met het apparaat doen nl….

Een paar opmerkingen:

Ik heb voor mijn werk 3 mediaspelers getest nl:
- Popcorn hour A-110
- Conceptronic CFULLHDMA
- TViX HD M-6500
Uit mijn testen komt naar voren dat TViX de beste speler is met de meest uitgebreide functionaliteit, de CFULLHDMA is wat mij betreft ongeveer even goed meer heeft minder functionaliteit (Geen interne harddisk, geen ftp server, enz).
De Popcorn hour is ronduit slecht (instabiel en traag). Zelf heb ik voor thuis een CFULLHDMA aangeschaft (want die is ongeveer de helft in prijs van de TViX).
Inderdaad het gras aan de overkant is altijd groener maar het kost ook veel meer.
Voor een ieder met netwerkproblemen. Ik had in het begin ook veel problemen gehad met dat shares en servers die niet bereikbaar waren. die problemen zijn voorbij sinds ik de CFULLHDMA via een switch op mijn GigaBit netwerk heb aangesloten.(TIP).
Problemen met een USB Harddisk hebben (zoals uit eerdere berichten blijkt) vaak te maken met de voeding. Ik heb verschillende 2.5 inch harddisken zonder voeding getest en de ene doet het wel en de andere niet. (geldt overigens ook voor de ander spelers).
Tot slot ik ben wel tevreden over de snelheid waarmee problemen worden opgelost voor zowel mijn CFULLHDMA als de CH3SNAS. Het kan natuurlijk altijd sneller maar mijn ervaring met andere bedrijven is veel slechter.
En geloof me met elke speler die op het moment op de markt is zijn problemen.

Graag ontvang ik de laatste beta firmware. Ik heb me inmiddels als beta-tester aangemeld.
Tevens een vraag; De CFULLHDMA ziet mijn CHD3NET-shares alleen als een andere pc in het netwerk aan staat. Dus als alle pc’s in het netwerk zijn uitgeschakeld kan ik mijn shares op de CHD3NET (via Linksys WRT160N) niet benaderen.
Enig idee waar dit aan kan liggen ??

In beta versie 1.15.x stopt het afspelen van verschillende mp3 bestanden precies 1 minuut voor het einde van de totale speeltijd. met de publieke versie 1.13.02 heb ik geen problemen.

Any news about the combination Sonos and CFULLHDMAi in the same network?
Helpdesk of Conceptronic (Netherlands) told me today that the new firmware should resolve the problem (1.15.15.10).
Unfortunately it didn’t.
I prefer my sonos so a quick fix for the cfullhdmai is required :-)

kingfisher, probably solved in next beta. We found similar issue with Nero Software. Also our engineers needed to get a sonos from the US, seems very difficult to get one in Taiwan.

The issue about speeds is following
2.4 Kernel Linux with 1.09 firmware is using SMBMOUNT where 2.6 kernel is using totally different SDK of SIGMA in combination with CIFS. So when you use highly encoded 1080P MKV files it’s possible that you do not have enough bandwidth to stream them
We are closely monitoring the kernel to see where we can find room & space to improve the performance. Right now: if you focus on 1080P and you encounter ONLY with the 2.6 kernel issues: stay with the 1.09.55 firmware.
That is the only advise I can give at this time and at this moment

I have no spare time to test with firmware versions but these were the comments from another users.
They have issues from network and from USB hard disk.
As I have read problems with 1080, I keept my 1.09.

USB relates to EXT2, NTFS, FAT32 and defragmentation of the file(s).
and of course if you are using 2.5″ / 3.5″ disk powered or not etc.

Hoi, ik heb net gisteren mijn WD-TV teruggebracht: was op zich een prima apparaat met zeer goede beeldkwaliteit en speelde ook prima met mijn Tb usb-HDD’s in HFS+ geformateerd, echter zaten er een paar zeer vervelende bugs en/of tekortkomingen in en tevens werkte de optische uitgang (van mijn exemplaar) niet!
-optisch uit werkte niet, heb ook liever coaxiaal uit.
-geen mogelijkheid van skippen naar een volgend hoofdstuk in een film.
-sommige rips van dvd’s die anamorph 16/9 zijn speelt de WD-TV vervolgens letterboxed af met daardoor verminderde scherpte.
-apparaat blijft altijd aan staan en daardoor ook de aangesloten usb-HDD, als je de HFS+ schijf dan afkoppelt s hij om zeep, moet dus eerst de schijf in het menu afkoppelen alvorens hem uit te kunnen zetten, daarna usb-kabel eruit en dan schijf uit. WD-TV blijft dan wel aan staat en blijft ook optisch uit rood licht schijnen!
Vraag: doet de Conceptronic dit allemaal beter???

I’ve a problem with the 1.15 and 1.16 firmware:
1 My External USB (externally powered) does not shut down automatically anymore when shutting down the CFULLHDMA. That’s not a big deal but
2 In Batman Returns 1080P MKV version withe German and English Audio. After the coffeetable scene (english audio selected) and start of speech outside, picture and sound is gone and I see that my receiver gets different signals. The light of my CFULLHDMA is still green. and how ironic my external HD has shut down. I’v to pull the plug to get my CFULLHDMA to work again. filename d-batmanr-1080P
3 When playing ISO file Corpses Bride (DVD9). Everytime my FULLHDMA shuts down after the two famlies meet in the house of the bride (about 7 minutes of play)
The above does not happen with the 1.12 firmware. So I don’t think there is no problem with my powerconnection mentioned in the forum. I realy like the sound settings of the 1.15/16 firmware (not having to change to pcm with wmv files) but with the above issues I’m forced to use 1.12

via hdmi naar de tv krijg ik het ook geen geluid.
af en toe krijg je wel eens een filmpje met net weer een andere samenstelling.
nog even wat anders.
komt er nog een optie voor foto`s. dat vierkante foto`s fullscreen worden weer gegeven.

hi all!
i have had multiple contact with the conceptronics site.
My main problem is that 1080P fullhd movie will start to stotter in sound and picture. i had this with several firmwares. Also with the latest official 1.16.06.09. This latest resolted in not beeing to play my normal dvds.
All my movies are streamed from a 2008 32bit server with the conceptronic plugin installed on it. All is connected through a 100mb switch.
I would try to access to content on my server through samba of nfs. to bad, this does not work. Samba works fine from my vista laptop, however is the 802.11G nog fast enough.
Im running now 1.13.02. on advise of the site support of conceptronics.
Playing the 1080Fullhd movies by 3.5″usb powered works fine and will nog jutter or stop.
Can somebody help me to tell how i can test on w2008 with samba of nfs? those shares won’t show op on the Cfullhdma.

It is not always possible to select an audio channel in a DVD-menu, when the are more then one on the DVD, like dolby 5.1 and/or DTS.
Is it possible to change audi channel during playing the DVD?
(like sub’s and language), if yes how?

Vandaag de Cfullhdma aangeschaft.Ik heb geprobeerd de firmware up te graden.Nu was ie bezig met het installeren daarvan, alleen viel de stroom op dat moment uit.
Nu start ie wel op met het opstartscherm, alleen wordt alles daarna zwart.Geen beeld dus.
Heb je misschien een oplossing voor me om dit euvel te verhelpen? Het zou zonde zijn om dit apparaat niet te kunnen gebruiken.Er was een internet connectie.Alles werkte maar na de stroom storing dus niet meer.HELP graag………

Ik heb een probleem dat ik veel audio drops hoor terwijl ik films aan het kijken ben met DTS audio. Ik heb bij een collega, wie een CFULLHDMA heeft (Ik heb een CFULLHDMAi) een aantal testjes gedaan en daar zien/horen we het zelfde probleem. Het video loopt normaal maar het audio valt even weg voor een heel klein moment.
Kun je hier iets meer over vertellen?

Ik is helemaal content met mijn cfullhdma apparaatje. Echter heb ik windows7 geinstalleerd en kan de shares niet meer benaderen met mijn cfullhdma. De pc’s in mijn netwerk zien de shares wel. Heeft hier iemand ervaringen mee? Of ervaart dit probleem ook?

Beste Dennis,
Een kennis van mij en ik hebben al heel lang hetzelfde probleem. Je zit een film of serie te kijken en je moet even weg. Dus je drukt op pause. Kom je dan terug dan slaat het apparaat volledig op tilt en moet je de stekker eruit trekken en helemaal opnieuw opstarten. Dit gaat nu toch al wel een half jaar tot een jaar. Is dit bij je bekent, volgens mij is er al eerder over geklaagd, en zo niet wat kan hier toch de oorzaak van zijn.
Verder is het ook zo dat inderdaad vaak bij DVD’s er een hikje in het audispoor zit.

misschien moet je eerst eens kijken of wel een Beta tester ben. Ik heb nog geen 1.17.22 maar 1.17.06. Dus is mijn probleem, volgens mij tenminste, nog niet opgelost. Hopenlijk komt dat in een volgende release.
Verder kan het toch wel wat vriendelijker dacht ik. Ik heb je toch niks gedaan. Als ik wekelijks van die “stomme” vragen stel heb je gelijk. Maar nu…..

Ik ben zeer tevreden over het apparaat enkel nog 2 problemen. Hitte probleem en dus het vastlopen van de speler (ook een keer geluid wegvallen in een wmv wel beeld).
Het stotteren van mkv’s. Ik lees in de trac dat deze problemen assigned zijn. Betekenddit dat met name het hitteprobleem opgelost kan/gaat worden en het dus niet aan een slecht exemplaar ligt? Ik wou hem nl. terug brengen naar de winkel maar als dit niet nodig is lever niet natuurlijk! Is er ook enig inzicht hoe lang dit onderzoeken gaat duren?

Hi All. Ik heb een soortgelijk probleem als Ron (Aug. 2008). Als ik de netwerkkabel vanaf de router naar de cfullhdma aansluit wordt het beeld compleet zwart. Apparaat lijkt vervolgens te “bevriezen”. Dacht dat het aan de firmware kon liggen dus die heb ik bijgewerkt (1.17.22.06). Rebooten leidt nog wel tot het splash screen, maar daarna opnieuw “zwart” beeld.
Firmware:
1.17.22.06
Hardware:
- Router Sitecom WL308 (bedraad; 1 Gb)
- Monitor HP 32408h (aangesloten met meegeleverde HDMI kabel)
CFULLHDMA instellingen:
- DHCP: Aan (ook geprobeerd met vast IP adres, maar ook dat ging niet goed).
Gecontroleerde Routerinstellingen:
UPnP: Aan (ook bij “uit” werkte het niet)
MAC filtering: UIT
Verder uitgesloten als oorzaak:
- netwerkkabel (meerdere kabels gecontroleerd die allen wel werkten met een laptop).
- andere aangesloten apparatuur (alle kabels losgehaald behalve router -> CFULLHDMA)
Overige symptomen:
- als ik eerst netwerkkabel aansluit en dan apparaat aanzet, blinkt alleen het oranje lampje ongeveer 3 – 4 seconden; dan gaat het permanent uit.

Schakel eens de QoS in de router uit, hang er een andere router aan. Ik lees meer problemen over die router van Sitecom. het kan zijn dat er wat mis gaat met signalering van deze router richting CFULLDHMA

Volgende zaken getest:
- CFULLHDMA rechtstreeks aan het kabelmodem gehangen; dat werkt prima. Hij krijgt keurig een IP adres en heeft internet verbinding.
- SiteCom router vervangen door de belkin F5D7230-4 van de buren.. Ook daar krijgt de CFULLHDMA netjes verbinding
Bevestigt dus jouw vermoeden dat de router hier wel eens de oorzaak kan zijn (en niet de CFULLHDMA de andere hardware).
- Vervolgens met de routerinstellingen lopen stoeien:
– QOS uitgezet: “WAN traffic shaping” (streamengine): geen verandering
– WISH uitgezet (tegen beter weten in; wireless stond al uit): geen verandering
– SPI uitgezet in de firewall: geen verandering
– TCP/UDP end point filtering uitgezet: Geen verandering
– multicast streams uitgezet: geen verandering
Er zijn zoveel settings en ik ben niet echt een superexpert. Iemand nog tips of tricks on how to proceed?

Testen die ik nu heb uitgevoerd:
- WL-308 Gaming Router Firmware 2.1 (zowel “gewoon” als na uitzetten QOS
- WL-308 Gaming Router Original Firmware (dito)
In beide gevallen bleef het probleem bestaan: als ik de cfulhdma aanzet gaat hij booten; het gele netwerk lampje knippert een paar seconden en daarna gaat het lampje uit en het scherm op zwart.
Daarna was ik het zo zat dat ik een nieuwe router heb gekocht: Linksys WRT610. En nu komt het: de cfullhdma vertoont ook met deze router hetzelfde gedrag (zowel met als zonder qos).
Toen voor de zekerheid nog een keertje (met dezelfde kabel) rechtstreeks aan het kabelmodem gehangen en ja hoor; dat functioneert dan weer wel (al vind ik het vreemd dat alleen het gele netwerklampje knippert en niet het groene …?…!). Youtube filmpjes probleemloos af te spelen.
