Critism about Podcasting

Quote:
I’m skeptical about podcasting. I’m skeptical about who’s doing it, who’s going to do it, and who’s going to listen to it. In short, I don’t think podcasting is going to get very far into the mainstream
:source:

So True:
– I do pocasting but where do you put your files?, many people do not have the storage yet, but podcast throught feeds need the file to be on the same server to create a valid podcast feed

– Time: create a potcast takes a lot of time including upload and creating an entry

Quote:
More than 22 million American adults own iPods or MP3 players and 29% of them have downloaded podcasts from the Web so that they could listen to audio files at a time of their choosing. That amounts to more than 6 million adults who have tried this new feature that allows internet “broadcasts” to be downloaded onto their portable listening device. [source]

6 Million: ha ha ha .. funny, I totally do not believe it.
Especially if you have made an survey with ‘only’ 2201 adults [pdf source]

Podcasting: It’s created a hype but it is not that used as much as you think.

Trendmapper

Trendmapper is a tool to generate historical data from search engines.

Trendmapper contains a list of search phrases and will do a daily search for all of them. The amount of hits are recorded, and a chart is made on basis of the data that is collected.

For me: I’m very interested in ‘AroundMyRoom’ as search phrase

Audblog a Service that sucks !

Audblog sucks. Audblog sucks. I have e-mailed them many times to tell them that I was not able to change my URL and blog-ID for publishing Audblog’s MP3 files I recorded to the server from my mobile phone.

Yes, I tried to change it but than I lost my Blog-ID, now: I can login, but cannot change the URL and ID to publish the ‘Podcasts’ to my site

Audblog is from Listenlab, and the do AudioBlogger and Audblog: but they suck as they do not reply to my problems.

I think they are to busy with Evhead and Odeo

Yes I am not happy. How to make me happy? Address my problems and solve it. Easy.
