Podcasts: no future for the common man
[AroundMyRoom notice]
Podcasts: no future for the common man, so I will stop with the mixfreaks podcast and/or AMR Podcast.
Why? It will cost too much time
the guys who tell it is the future do have a whole production studio (check curry, of course he has a iriver yadieyadieyada mp3 player/recorder and tells you it's soo simple, but knowone with that kind of quality will be taken serious. And if you are going futher you are making Radio ..
And that takes time.. Too much time I do not have.

SENA en Podcasts
Ik zie dat mijn entry over BUMA STEMRA en Podcasting opgepakt is door Tjeerd van Emerce
35 euro los uit de pols ...
Dan denk je dat je er bent, maar dan krijgen we ook nog te maken met een 2e toko: de SENA die vragen zo rond de 530 euro per jaar voor webcasting (minimum vergoeding). Ik heb 2 jaar geleden al eens een brief van de SENA gehad omdat ik een webcast via xs4all had lopen met wat jaarmixjes .. en of ik dus maar even een document wou invullen en ondertekenen (alsof ik een pro zou zijn ..)
Waar zijn nu dan de pionierskortingen zoals ik gisteren beschreef?
Dus zou ik willen doorgaan met het podcasten van bijv. de Mixcast (met remixen die je met geen fatsoenlijke mogelijkheid ergens kan aanschaffen (te oud, te uniek, te zeldzaam) dan zou ik mits de SENA de tarieven niet aanpast zo'n 44 euro per maand voor de SENA moeten betalen alsmede 35 euro voor de BUMA. dat is 79 eurootjes voor een 'pionier' hobby.
Ik ga m'n geld ergens anders aan uitgeven. Tot ziens MixCast!

Buma Stemra stelt tarief podcasten op 35 euro
Volgens een aantal forum berichten op podcastinfo.nl zou de Buma Stemra een regeling van kracht hebben laten gaan waarin Podcasters die muziek afspelen een tarief zouden moeten gaan betalen van 35 euro per maand.
Kern:
Professioneel Podcasten (het verdienen aan Podcasts) heeft een tarief van 85 euro per maand inclusief 13% van de omzet die je maakt (min een aantal gedefinieerde kosten).
Vraag: wat gebeurd er dan met de omzetbelasting?
LOL / Amateur Podcasten: verdien je er geen geld mee (let op: Google-banners zijn ook al een vorm van inkomsten, zelfs als ze je bandbreedtekosten niet eens dekken): de afdracht wordt dan een vast bedrag van 35 euro per maand.
Al deze bedragen zijn inclusief BTW.
Wanneer je een RSS feed met enclosures aanbied alsmede een webcast maakt dan 'mag' je voor deze dus voor een maandelijks bedrag van 35 euro aanbieden en dus voor deze bedragen zoveel podcasts maken als je wilt. Ze zijn dus niet afhankelijk van het aantal podcasts, de hoeveelheid muziek die je draait enzovoort.
Waar zou BUMA zijn tarief op baseren?
BUMA zegt tevens dat de podcaster zich zelf bij hen moet 'aangeven'.
e.e.a. komt van de: Teamleider RTV, Kabel en OnLine Licenties binnen de BUMA organisatie.
Wellicht aankomende week meer via de gevestigde media. Tis toch komkommer tijd.

xs4all supports podcasts
My ISP is supporting Podcasts now. Just for checking if there is demand for it, and because of this you would not need an own server (webspace) to offer your podcast.
For me it's also experimental as I am not sure if my Podcast does meet the rules, as it's Podmusic I play.

Bernard dacht in zijn TradeSecrets Podcast dat AroundMyRoom een afvaller binnen de podcast wereld zou zijn. Niet dus.
Alhoewel ik niets kan garanderen was ik al bezig om ipv de AroundMyRoom VOC Podcast een Mixcast te maken met niet gesproken woord. Een wijziging dus. En na 8 afleveringen dus nog niet opgevallen door v e l e n :-) (ondanks dat ik alle directories min of mer ping en mijn normale index.xml voor iedereen direct te benaderen is en niet via bijv. feedburner (index.rdf en atom.xml lopen via feedburner)

A critic note ..
after some investment someone is going to earn huge money from your podcasts .. Maybe not now directly but probably in the nearby future.
Podcasting: for the happy few. Cause it's too diffult to create one. You need too much gear and than... you are making radio saved in MP3.

Audblog a Service that sucks !
Audblog sucks. Audblog sucks. I have e-mailed them many times to tell them that I was not able to change my URL and blog-ID for publishing Audblog's MP3 files I recorded to the server from my mobile phone.
Yes, I tried to change it but than I lost my Blog-ID, now: I can login, but cannot change the URL and ID to publish the 'Podcasts' to my site
Audblog is from Listenlab, and the do AudioBlogger and Audblog: but they suck as they do not reply to my problems.
I think they are to busy with Evhead and Odeo
Yes I am not happy. How to make me happy? Address my problems and solve it. Easy.

Listen, Sync & Create. I certainly hope they will fix the audblog problem: Audblog I used many times before switching servers.
Publishing MP3 files automatically after recording them from my GMS phone. WOW I liked that.
Unfortunately: I cannot change my weblog info and therefore I cannot use it anymore with the account I have. Messages sent to them are not addressed and not answered anymore :-(

Ik moet het toegeven: Ik maak zelf podcasts, niet zoveel als ik wil op dit moment, maar dat is eigenlijk de schuld van het niet hebben van een goede microfoon donaties welkom ;-)
Vandaag naar Julius' 008 lulligvoorje podcast geluisterd. De eerste podcast die ik heb durven uit te zitten. Juist. Julius is irritant.. hij zegt hetzelfde wat ik vaak denk: vaag gelul in de ruimte maar het is leuk om te luisteren.

Podcast Directory voor Nederland
Bernard Flach houdt de nederlandse lijst bij van Podcasters. Goed om in zo'n lijst te staan. Je vergroot je bereik.
Bernard schreef vandaag op zijn weblog:
Nieuwe Nederlandstalige podcaster en wel de 4e in de lijst : AroundMyroom�s VOC. Een luchtige en voornamelijk erg leuk gebrachte podcast. Ik moet eerlijk zeggen : hij heeft er de stem voor. De kwaliteit van de MP3 is ietsje minder, maar dat mag de pret zeker niet drukken.
Dat is zeer leuk om te lezen. Het is nu de 2e keer dat iemand zegt dat ik er een stem voor heb waarvan ik zelf denk: is dat wel zo.
Ik zal morgen de MP3 van Low quality halen en op een andere kwaliteit zetten. Schijfruimte genoeg en momenteel is bandbreedte ook geen zorg.

Jahooe! Een luisteraar van mijn Podcast heeft zojuist een symbolisch bedrag van 1 iPOD nummer overgemaakt om zo kenbaar te maken dat hij luistert naar mijn PODCAST. Geweldig!
Mijn dank is groot!
Tevens wordt nu ook mijn podcast opgenomen in de ipodder.org 'directory'
Foutje op audio.weblogs.com entry in mijn postcasts folder pinged ongeacht of er nu wel of niet een enclosure in zit. Nah. Gratis reclame moet je maar denken

Een nieuwe korte postcast om onze engelstalige vrienden te vertellen dat deze podcast in het nederlands is en om te kijken of audio.weblogs.com wordt gepinged. Gisteren werkte dat niet omdat de categorie niet juist was. Stond in documentatie: Podcast terwijl het Podcasts moet zijn.
